House Lorax was formed at the end of 2018 after recognizing that many of us were looking for more collaborative opportunities with other creators. We wanted a space where art was understood to be a verb, rather the a noun. We wanted a space where the people creating are not afraid to use their art to resist.
House Lorax memberships comes 24 hour access to a multi-roomed workspace/gallery including a painting studio, workshop studio, movement/dance studio, jam space, hookah lounge, kitchen and bathroom.

Every First Friday the resident artists of House Lorax open the space and invite the public to the Blind Man's Ball. We call this open house event "The Blind Man's Ball" because you never know quite how the evening will unfold.
Each First Friday holds it own unique creative energy. You might find your self participating in a yoga class, painting in the art room, listening to a room of musicians. Sharing tea and conversation with new friends or hula hooping with old ones. During these events all the space is considered performance and creative space!
18+ (unless accompanied by an adult)
As always this event is cannabis friendly (please no alcohol. There is a bar down stairs for those who would like a drink.)
